Ringback Tone
Innovation is the word you will hear again and again with Code Jawa. In 1999, innovation at Code Jawa (previously known as Spotcast Communications) gave birth to the "prior-to-connected tone" service that we launched with a few operators across the globe. We see many raising hands. You are right. It is now what is called the Ringback Tone service that the Koreans thought they invented and made popular (well we admit they are quite innovative at making it popular).

Our version of the ringback tone service and technology is more innovative in that it offers the subscribers a way to interact with the tone being played. So, for example, if your subscriber loves a particular tone being played back at him, he can interact by pressing the '#' and expect to get more information about the content via SMS or callback, or both.

Code Jawa believes that the existing service model of ringback tone does not make the best of its fullest potential. It is standalone and does not talk to the rest of the mobile content world. Much more attractive services can be had by infusing ringback tone capability into existing mobile services based on SMS, WAP, and MMS. View the ringback tone platform as one of the delivery platforms like the SMSC, WAP Gateway, and MMSC. Let the creativity of the content providers mix and match the multiple media to create services each of which is greater than the straight sum of all the media.

For the very above purpose, Code Jawa's Ringback Tone platform provides a set of communication interfaces that let content providers' system to talk to and complete the service cycle.

The platform also comes with a ready-to-use extranet that content providers can use to monitor content placement details, to view summary of monthly billing, and to add content.
